February 5, 2021, Ponce, Puerto Rico—–This morning, the Mayor of Ponce, Hon. Luis M. Irizarry Pabón, the Senator for the district of Ponce and Vice President of the Senate of Puerto Rico, Hon. Marially González Huertas and Senator Ramoncito Ruiz Nieves paid a courtesy visit to the SER facilities in Ciudad Señorial.
“We extended the invitation to the distinguished officials, in order for them to get to know our facilities in Ponce as well as the services we offer to the communities of the municipality and neighboring towns. In the same way, so that they had the opportunity to meet our excellent professionals and could observe, first-hand, their dedication and commitment while they impart their mission of love. And lastly, that they could appreciate the cutting-edge equipment in robotic technology, unique in Puerto Rico, that we have in our institution,” said the President and Chief Officer of SER, Nilda Morales.
During the tour, in which they were accompanied by: the mayor, municipal legislators and senators from the District of Ponce, they met and spoke with the staff and members of the Board of Directors, who took the opportunity to show them their areas of work, achievements and share experiences.

“My family and I have had the opportunity to receive services at Ser de Puerto Rico for our youngest son. Therefore, we can testify to how essential this non-profit institution is so that it continues to provide services to Ponce and the entire Region,” said the mayor.
Likewise, both officials expressed feeling very impressed with the facilities and its staff, and reaffirmed their commitment to the institution and their intention to collaborate with its development to expand the offer of educational and therapeutic services, so that more families can benefit.
SER operates the only pediatric rehabilitation center on the Island – centers in San Juan, Ponce and Ceiba. Similarly, doto evaluation, referral, screening and follow-up clinics for infants from 0 to five (5) years of age in the various municipalities of rural areas.
