Carolina, Puerto Rico – The plastic products manufacturing company, Alltrista, made a donation of $5,000 to SER of Puerto Rico last December. Mr. Daniel González, SER Fundraising Coordinator, Ms. April Manzano, Director of Finance and Joao Medina, SER participant received the donation from Mr. Jorge Santiago and Todd Zillmer of Alltrista.
“SER de Puerto Rico was selected to receive this donation because it is an institution whose values are compatible and very similar to those of Alltrista. Our company is committed to the quality of its products, but beyond the commercial part, we have a great social commitment to improve and transform the communities that surround us. Likewise, SER de Puerto Rico transforms the lives of its participants by providing alternatives that improve the quality of life,” Santiago pointed out. Alltrista, reaffirming its commitment to SER de PR, will carry out an activity during the month of February to collect donations that help the continuity of services and mission of the institution.
For her part, the president and main official of SER, Nilda Morales, thanked the donation and reiterated the institution's commitment to "continue working tirelessly to improve the quality of life of people living with disabilities in our society, allowing them in an inclusive manner live with its challenges, without disadvantages, without exclusions, in a society that embraces diversity”.
SER de Puerto Rico, is a non-profit institution, established since 1950, that offers medical-therapeutic services, education and support services to people with disabilities, autism and their families.
